23rd March, 2016: President Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies (CPGS), Senator Sehar Kamran (TI) congratulated the nation on the 76th Pakistan Day. On this auspicious occasion, Senator Sehar Kamran stated that we must not forget the innumerable sacrifices laid by our ancestors in the struggle for an independent country.
Senator Kamran further said this day is a testament to the fact that if we unify our strength and harmonize our energies, we can achieve anything. She said we were able to achieve the unthinkable in 1947 by collective will and determination, and we can achieve it again if we display the same courage and resolve, to overcome the present challenges faced by our beloved state.
Senator Sehar Kamran said that today, Pakistan is grappling with the issues of terrorism and extremism which are the greatest threat to the social fabric of the nation, but these challenges can be overcome. A unified, cohesive, national effort, from this day forth, can take Pakistan to new heights of greatness.
Finally, she concluded with the prayer that maythe Almighty give us strength to fulfill our national obligations and overcome all divides and divisions, in order to serve our country.May Allah protect bless our beloved country with peace and prosperity.
