6th September, 2016: President Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies Senator Sehar Kamran (TI) has felicitated the nation on the 51st Youm-e-Daifaa (Defence Day). She said on this day we pay homage to the shaheeds and the ghazis who laid their lives in defence of our beloved motherland. It was because of their valiant sacrifices and services that today we are able to live our lives as independent citizens of the seventh nuclear power state.
Senator Kamran said no power on this planet can undo Pakistan and 6th September is a reminder of how the people and the armed forces of the country are ready to go to any extent to defend this soil.
Senator Sehar Kamran said today Pakistan is facing challenges on many fronts but one thing is constant and that is the will of the people to emerge victorious in the face of these challenges. She said terrorism rate in the country has dropped considerably owing to the ongoing successful Operation Zarb-e-Zarb. The nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the armed forces in the ongoing operations against the terrorists.
Senator Sehar Kamran let us dedicate this day to the families of the martyr and to the people of Pakistan who have time and again shown extraordinary resilience in the face of adversary.
