Islamabad: President Centre for Pakistan and Gulf Studies (CPGS), Senator Sehar Kamran (TI) wrote a letter to the United Nations Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon on Thursday addressing the atrocious Indian brutalities against the Kashmirisand demanded that UN Secretary General take notice of the extra-judicial killings of Kashmiris at the hands of the Indian forces. In her letter, she said the United Nations as a custodian body had a greater role to play in ensuring justice and promoting peace around the globe and the time has come to address the long-lingering dispute of Kashmir on humanitarian basis.
Senator Kamran also demanded that the UN should intervene and called upon the Internaitonal Human Rights Organisations to take immediate notice of severe violation of human rights in in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Senator Sehar Kamran said the voice of the people of Kashmir cannot be suppressed though inhuman acts and violent tactics employed by the Indian State. The resolution of the Kashmir dispute is only possible by implementing UNSC resolutions and the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir must get their right of Self-Determination through a fair and free plebiscite under UN supervision, she added.
