Islamabad, 31st May, 2017: Senator Sehar Kamran (TI) presented her calling attention notice on the killing of fifteen Indians in the recent air attack carried by the US military on ISIS targets in the Afghan Province of Nangarhar on Wednesday in the Senate of Pakistan. She said this attack has confirmed Islamabad’s concerns of active Indian presence in the areas bordering Pakistan.
Senator Kamran said it has always been known that terrorist groups from the region have bases on Afghan soil and work in collaboration with state intelligence agencies of National Directorate of Security and RAW for carrying out attacks in different parts of the region including Pakistan and even Afghanistan itself. She said the ‘Offensive Defensive Doctrine’ by the Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval stands true today when he said New Delhi would use Taliban to attack and destabilse Pakistan. She said these two agencies of India and Afghanistan provide support to the TTP and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar to conduct terrorist activities inside Pakistan. The presence of Kulbhusan Yadav, a serving Indian Naval Officer and the recent statement by Ehsan-ullah-Ehsan are evidence enough of direct Indian involvement inside Pakistan, she added.
Senator Kamran drew the attention of the Adviser to PM on Foreign Affairs on this matter of grave national importance and asked if the government has raised these incidents of active Indian involvement inside Pakistan in the international forum? She also inquired if any casualties or losses were incurred on Pakistan’s soil as a result of the US airstrike in the bordering province and if it were the case as some reports suggested then were the Pakistani officials informed prior to the attack?
Senator Sehar Kamran said India is actively working to sabotage Pakistan’s interests as the projects of CPEC have started to materialize. She said Pakistan must remain vigilant and prepare a counter policy as New Delhi’s encirclement strategy seems to be in full force. She condemned the recent Kabul attack killing more than 80 innocent people and said the people of Pakistan stand with their Afghan brothers in these difficult times.
